The importance of studying foreign language

Studying a foreign language is an experience really different because you can open your main in relation with your native language and foreign language. When you receive this teaching, you understand aspects that maybe never you pay attention or you do not give too much importance, but when you learn this new language your mind understands the situation.

Firstly, being a person that knows different languages is excellent because this open many doors. You can get better job. You can work in an international company this is amazing and not anyone can do it. In addition, you know new cultures; this is wonderful because you really expand your knowledge. You learn others lifestyles and others customs. Furthermore, there is a big possibility to travel more.

However, there are few disadvantages like confused words. Sometimes you know what to say, but you cannot remember how to say in another language or you do not know how to express in another language, so for this, you end to mixing languages and then you destroy the languages like English and Spanish this is called “spanglish” and you do not hear you very polite. Also, in some cases, you reject your own culture because you liked more the new culture that you knew.

All in all, I believe that a study foreign language is a good way, because it is not only how to pronounce, how to write or read, it is more than this. It is to relate with others countries. It allows a better understanding of our native language. We have an opportunity to be part of a new society. In my opinion, I feel a little proud when somebody write me or speak me and I understand, because for me it is a signal that I am learning, of course I know that I do not know all and I have bad pronuntation, but I know that I can do it.
